Girl of the Blue Sky – Original Lyrics

That’s right, I write songs! OK, no I don’t, but I do write lyrics. I wrote these in Japanese and gave a translation. The song is from Mana Khemia 2, and it’s Et’s theme. I wrote all the words.

REALLY?! You're done with the song?! Does that mean Yun and I can make out now?!

Japanese

Ja-ja-jan!

English

Bababum!

Hey! Let’s go somewhere!

Hey! Let’s play something!

Just studying is boring

Our lives our right in front of us!

Hey! Do you like me?

Hey! I like you lots!

What kind of game should we play today?

Are hugs and kisses allowed?

Whoo! Whoo! This is fun!

Thump, thump, you and me!

Whoo! Whoo! I’m by your side

Thump! Thump! I love you!

You say “That’s not normal”

But you know…

Reality is too harsh.

Let’s forget the painful things

(And so)

Everyone, let’s smile! Smile!

Oh yeah!

Why is everyone making that face?

Why is everyone angry?

Why is everyone not flying?

I don’t get it, because everyone has wings!

Arisa Nakayama – Until

I translated the romaji into English. The ending song of Tears to Tiara, the game, and an insert song in the anime. Enjoy.

Rhiannon from Tears to Tiara. I believe this song expresses her feelings and devotion.

Can you hear it? My voice
As it softly thinks you, the seasons continue to move
That will never be something sad; it’s strong and kind
I’m singing from this far, far place

I can’t forget about you
As I become an adult, I’m becoming a child
If there is a day that we meet again, it’d be best if you didn’t come near me
I’m sure I’ll fall in love with you like I did on that day

At the golden-colored glowing ocean of field grass
At that time, I was gazing at your face
It was like being inside unbreakable time for eternity
You taught even someone like me that feeling

I won’t forget about you
I may meet a lot of people, but
Someday your smiling face will be somewhere inside my memories
It will never change in my heart

And so I will continue this endless journey
I will change my memories into a gentle song

I can’t forget about you
As I become an adult, I’m becoming a child
If there is a day that we meet again, it’d be best if you didn’t come near me
I still won’t forget about you
I may meet a lot of people, but
Someday your smiling face will be somewhere inside my memories
It will never change in my heart

These feelings for you… I’m sure I couldn’t convey them well right now.
But in my heart, there is a flower blooming

I stop in my tracks for a moment, and at that time

I saw… Your smile.

Because you were there, I’m here in this place

Your never-giving-up strength

Changed the color of my tears

I’ll walk together with you

Looking at the same sky

The flower that will bloom into tomorrow… I now give to you.

Whenever it was… I was always watching you from far away

That’s why… Look… Now a smile is blooming.

My feelings I always feel

I’ll be… more honest to them.

That we met was not a coincidence

Because I, who touched the kindness unseeable to the eye,

Am right here

I’ll sing together with you.

So that it will reach your heart someday

The flower that will bloom into tomorrow… I now give to you.

Because you were there, I’m here in this place

Your never-giving-up strength

Changed the color of my tears

We’ll meet again, right? From here on till the end.

Thank you for today, I’ll see you tomorrow too.

With a smile… I just say to you… “Thank you”.

When I heard this song, I immediately thought of my story I’m writing with Anna Lemouri, grown up. She goes through a really hard period in her life. My basis is from Mana Khemia (2). I created the picture, but I used Anna’s head as a starter.

The picture I made for this song. She's for my fanfic. If you want to see her, see my fanfic!

Everyone is alone here, we were chosen and born

Within meetings and partings, there is a miracle woven in.

Hiding in the shadow of deceit… The feelings of being back-to-back.

I want to accept those earnest eyes that look straight forward.

Inside flowing time, there’s a life that is forced to dance

Even if you may be my enemy, I’ll engrave you my heart.

Even if I mourn over my unavoidable fate or the place I’m in

I cannot stop the rails

I want to live just one more time

No one can do it but me

Find my wish and grant it, and I swear to the moon

Someday, let’s be reborn again

At that time, we will be tied by strong bonds (feelings)

Flowing time and a life that disappears to the sky

At that time, who will those feelings float to?

In the future as well, our meeting will repeat

And know this: No one is alone.

Harvest Moon: Rival Children Sidestory – The Forest of Wandering

The Forest of Wandering

The other rival kids search through the forest. Man, that tree needs a face job!

◇Tum-Tum Forest

In the dark forest, the children nervously looked around as they walked.
Mao: …Didn’t we pass by this place not long ago?
Vivan: I felt that as well.
Van: It looks like we’re lost, hm?
Yui: Uuu, I’m hungry~
Vivan: The reason we’re here in the first place is because you insisted on coming to Tum-Tum Forest, Ms. Yui.
Yui: Well that’s ’cause it sounded interesting, and I heard it had yummy mushrooms…
Mao: Sorry, I wanted to come to the forest too because I had heard there was a spirit of the swamp deep inside the forest…
Van: This isn’t the time to point fingers.
Vivan: That’s true, I’m sorry.
Yui: Ummm… I know! Let’s eat chocolate together. That’ll cheer us right up!
The children walking ate the shared chocolate.
Van: Let’s calmly review the situation. Why do you think the landmarks disappeared?
Yui: Me and Mao ate all the bread…
Mao: We messed up, huh…?
Van: I left sparkling stones on the road, but they’re gone…
Vivan: And here I was, putting ribbons on the tree branches. To think they would disappear…
With the anxious atmosphere, the children struggled to speak.
Mao: So I guess the witch took them away so we would get lost, after all.
Van: I do think that the Witch was just a made-up story to trick kids, but…
Vivan: That’s why I came here with you all, to prove that Witches don’t exist.
Van: But it’s true that this is no normal forest. Look, the compass we brought is going haywire and can’t decide which way is north.
Yui: Yeah, and there are so many trees I can’t see past them…

When they all looked at the hole, RUSTLE RUSTLE! The sound of a bird sounded out. From the brush, a silhouette scared the children. They ran away as fast as they could.

Yui: Yaaaaaaa!
Mao: Waaaaaaa!
Vivan: Kyaaaaa!
Mao: Th-That was scary…
Yui: A witch! It was a witch! There really was one!
Vivan: P-Preposterous! It’s because we thought something was frightening that we’re seeing things…
Van: Should we go check it out?
Vivan: …No, let’s not. For right now, we need to find the way out of the forest.

Noticing something, Yui stopped in her tracks. She closed her eyes and sniffed

Yui: …I can smell cake!
Mao: Huh? I don’t.
Vivan: Come on, Ms. Yui. You’re just hungry, so your nose is having hallucinations…
Yui: Mm-mm, I’m positive! This way!
Van: Ms Yui, you musn’t run!

Holding resolve in their hearts, the children chased after Yui who ran in front of them. They saw a silhouette who waved to them.

Yui: Ah, it’s Wizard!
Wizard: … Is everyone all right? I’m glad… The adults are worried.
Mao: …I’m sorry.
Wizard: ……I think tonight they’ll… Scold you thoroughly. Um… This… The sweets… I’ll give them to you.
Yui: Wow, cake! Thanks~♪
Vivan: Phew, now we can finally return home.

With a gloomy look on her face, Vivian sighed. Being seen off by Wizard, the children started home. Van looked back at the forest over his shoulder.
Van: Was that really a witch, I wonder…?
As the children left, the sun started to softly set on Tum-Tum Forest. Inside the pitch black forest, the Witch came closer to the Wizard who was standing still.
Wizard: ……You should have given it to them yourself.
Witch Princess: Just when I thought I was, they ran away!
Wizard: ……Probably because you picked up their landmarks.
Witch Princess: Well, I was thinking “There’s rare things falling in” so I impulsively… I didn’t know it was their landmarks! And I made a cake to apologize, but… God, I’m going home!
After she turned her somewhat-lonely eyes away, the Witch left the place as she angrily yelled.
Wizard: …Good grief.
The Wizard smiled softly, and was swallowed once again by the forest along with the witch.
And it was like this that every time the witch felt guilty for the ruckus she caused and gave in, realized it was her duty to fix it, and ended with a sigh.

Harvest Moon: Rival Children Sidestory – Present

All the children are so cute... EXCEPT LUCY! (I'm a rabid LukexAkari fan) If only stone-searching were that easy, the economy would be so great...

◇Enterance to the Watery Cave

The children gathered. Inside the dark cavern, they looked around with worried faces, excited faces, and other variations.

Heath: OK… So we didn’t forget anything, right? Then let’s go!
Ange: Yes. I’ll be in your hands, everyone.
Lucy: Ah’ll find something amazin’.
Roy: You’d better be careful not to trip, Lucy. There’s a lot of cracks around here.

The children went energetically down the stairs.

Roy: But you know, I can’t believe your Papa let you come, Angie. He seems like the kind of guy to get mad if you said you were coming.

Roy spoke to her as he hit a crystal with his hammer.

Ange: …Um… I didn’t tell him.
Heath: Next week is Angie’s Papa and Mama’s wedding anniversary! That’s why she wants to find them a surprise present. Right?

Heath helped out his friend in need by explaining.

Ange: Yes, I thought I could make brooches out of Mama’s favorite gem, Aquamarine, and Papa’s favorite, Sapphire.

Lucy: Wow~ That’s cool~ We’ll help you find some.♪
Roy: All right, let’s do our best, guys!

Ange: Thank you, everyone!

The children started cracking open stones for ore and precious stones. They started to get tired, and let out a big sigh.
Roy: We can’t get that many, huh…
Lucy: Look, look! There’s a lot of crystals ova’ there! I’m gonna use my special move and break ‘em open!

At the clump of crystals, Lucy raised her hammer and yelled, ready to strike.

Heath: Lucy! Wai-!

Heath tried to stop Lucy, but as she hit the big crowd of crystals, gas came from them.

Ange: Kyaa!
Heath: Angie! It’s dangerous! Don’t move!
The Darkness Gas spread out, and the surrounding area became gradually darker and darker. After a short silence, the gas finally stoppped, and everyone checked to see if the group was all okay.

Roy: Hey, you OK?
Lucy: Ange~ I’m sorry. You all right?

Ange: Yeah, I’m OK… See? Two stones came out. Lucy-chan, thank you.

Ange showed Lucy the two stones that she had gotten out of the crystals and smiled to her happily.

Heath: This looks like a good place to pack it up and go home. We’ve gotta get it appraised.
Roy: We’ll do that, so why don’t you go home Ange? Your parents might be worried.
Ange: …Mm-mm, I want to request it myself… And besides, I want to see the appraisal myself.
Heath: All right, then we’ll take the mine cart and go to the mining district!
Lucy: Ah’m first!
Heath: That’s unfair, Lucy! You were first coming over, too!
Roy: Don’t fight, you guys.

◇Mining District

Arriving, the children headed for the Accessory Shop.

Heath: Hey, just thinking, but isn’t your Papa at the Accessory Shop, Ange?
Ange: What’ll we do…
Roy: Me and Lucy will call him outside, so when you get the chance, hurry and go inside.
Lucy: All right! Leave it to me!

With a triumphant pose, Lucy and Roy entered the Accessory shop and called Ange’s father, Juli, outside. Ange and Heath went quickly inside.
◇Inside the Accessory Shop

Miori: Welcome. Oh my, what cute customers. How may I help you today?
Ange: Ah, um, this… Please refine it. And this too.

Ange put the blue stones on the counter to refine.

Miori: 7 stones, right? I understand.

Ange looked at Miori with hopeful eyes.

Miori: There are three glass beads, two Lapis Lazulis…

Ange’s shoulders droop a bit, and Heath notices.

Miori: That’s one Aquamarine, and… One Sapphire.

Miori’s words perk Ange’s eyes right up.

Heath: We did it!

A happy Heath exclaimed.

Miori: And so, what would you like me to do with them?
Ange: Um, um, an Aquamarine brooch and a Sapphire brooch, matching designs, please.
Miori: I understand. They should be ready by tomorrow. Are these going to be presents?
Ange: Yes. For ribbons, please put one with pink and one with blue.

With happy faces, Ange and Heath left the store. After a little while, Juli returned inside.

Juli God, what’s up with those kids? They were just talking nonsense to me!
Mori Ahahaha…
Juli Oh my, what’s this? Ms. Miori, you look pretty happy.
Miori: Yes, a bit. I’ve got something to do in the workshop, so don’t come in and watch the store, OK?
Juli: What is it~? …Ah! Wait a second!

Juli leans in his neck to take a peek inside the case.

Juli: Wasn’t there a Sapphire in here yesterday?
Miori: I’m sorry, Juli. I sold it.
Juli: Ehhh, that’s horrible! I said I wanted to buy it and you sold it?! That’s too cruel. ☆
Miori: Ahahaha…
Juli: What is it~? That smile of yours really worries me…

Juli’s lips pout. Miori kindly smiles and goes to the workshop to get to work.

Harvest Moon: Harvest Goddess and God Sidestory – Early Afternoon at the Spring

They obviously have feelings for each other, being holy beings and all. The God's getting jealous~ GET DOWN ON THE GROUND! *fire blast*

◇Harvest Goddess Spring

It was laid-back early afternoon. The Harvest Goddess as usual was standing by the spring. Suddenly, a sparkling light enveloped the bank of the pond.

Goddess: My, for you to be here is quite a rare occurrence indeed.

God: I think seeing different scenery from time to time isn’t a bad thing. Where are the little guys?

As the Harvest God looked around the vicinity, he noticed that the Harvest Sprites were not there.

Goddess: They left early this morning to go on a picnic.

God: Hm… Are you feeling better now?

Goddess: Yes, completely… Thanks to you, and Fin, and over all, that child.

The Goddess gestured a kind smile as thanks to the God, and the others who weren’t there.

God: Hmph. If you had relied on me from the beginning, we wouldn’t have had to involve outsiders.

The Harvest God said gloomily while crossing his arms.

Goddess: That was because since long ago, you never had an affinity for the human’s world.

God: It’s not a problem of whether I like it or not. It’s just that their beliefs are bad. And also, you worry far too much for them. Even if nature becomes inbalanced, the humans reap what they sow. It was their fault in the first place.

Goddess: …………

God: The moment catastrophe strikes, they scream in an uproar and scorn the Gods. They have such zeal for fighting, and will trick their neighbor without a second thought. From how I see it, crying and getting your heart broken over humans gets me angry.

Goddess: …………

God: …Are you mad?

Goddess: No, I would not get angry over something like that.

Saying this, the Goddess averted her face in the silence that followed her answer.

God: Well then, why do you look away? Look at me.

Goddess: I do not wish to.

God: You’re always on the human’s side, huh? It’s because… You’re so… Um…

Goddess: ……?

God: It’s nothing. Well then, while the noisy ones are still away, I’ll take the chance and go back.

Goddess: People… All act unwisely at times. They make blunders, they break something, there are times when that happens. However… They learn from their mistakes, they fix what is in front of them, and they overcome hardships. I think they possess powers that we Gods could never obtain. I believe to love them is not that difficult of a task.

God: Do you intend to lecture me?

Goddess: It is just some common chatter. The humans have many stories about our constellations, you know. However, I’m sure you’ve heard them when you’ve had nothing to do.

God: Hmph.

With a scowl on his face, the Harvest God left as quickly as he came without a trace, and the Harvest Goddess closed her eyes gently. From far away, she heard a stir, and with hearing that, the Harvest Sprites returned home. In their little hands were mushrooms, tree nuts, and flowers.

Alan: Harvest Goddess~♪ We’re back, and we brought some presents~!

Ben: We found a lot of these where we had our picnic.

Collin: Here, we brought you your favorite flowers. ♪

Edge: Harvest Goddess, you weren’t lonely were you?

Goddess: No, not at all. I’ve been looking forward to hearing what you had to bring back.

Daren: We’re making the mushrooms into stew right now~♪

Goddess: I’m glad to hear that.
…………Oh yes, How about sharing it with the Harvest God, too?

Alan: Over to him? If I did, wouldn’t he get mad?

Goddess: Yes, I’m sure he’ll be delighted. Hmhmhm.
Once the stew was complete, with stew in hand, the harvest sprites went out, sent off kindly by the goddess. After that, the Harvest Goddess once again got comfortable in the sun, and closed her eyes.

Without throwing off my sadness

I can close my eyes, and I’ll be OK.

I want you to hug me, but

I want to be tied with you, but

I feel that it’d be half-hearted

The future I want to confirm

And the unconcerned eagerness (?)

Truth is I want you to only look at me

Love you… Don’t be afraid

Love you… Of getting hurt

I’ll bring you to tomorrow, I’m sure

I love you so much right now, I’ll love you so much forever

I’m sure it’ll reach you… Please

Let it soar!

I love you so much right now, I’ll love you so much forever

I don’t want to forget this warmth, forever and ever.

Harvest Moon: Yuba, Mai and Chihaya Sidestory: Devotion

And this is the fourth story I’ve translated! Please enjoy! The original page below…

http://www.bokumono.com/series/wakuwaku/ss/ss8.html

Devotion

Seraph and Yuba think about Mai over tea. No explosions in that thought bubble, I see!

“Grandma! Teach me how to cook! Please, I wanna win this year’s Cooking Contest!”

I am the chef, Yuba. Since two days ago, Mai has begged me to teach her how to cook, but for her to win at the Cooking Contest is impossible. I’ve been working at the Ocarina Inn since long ago, and never have I ever seen someone so clumsy. But if I tell the person in question, however, no matter what I say, she won’t listen. She won’t follow the recipe, and he spaces out and the food burns in the blink of an eye. Day after day, she gives the failures to me to eat, is she trying to kill her elders? Honestly, she’s such a problem.

It was a week after I started teaching Mai to cook that I grumbled to Seraph over her unimproved cooking over tea. After Seraph listened to my story from beginning to end, she smiled to me.

“Everyone has a place that fits them, and everyone has a path that they take. I think Mai’s already a wonderful girl as she is. She’s straight-forward, she’s energetic, she has a warm atmosphere around her, it’s kind of like… She’s a pleasant day’s sun.” Seraph told me. I wonder. That girl can’t cook a single thing. As I thought this while walking back, Mai and Lina were talking at the inn’s cafe.

“So you think so too, Mai?”

“Yeah, Lina! It’ll totally be OK! Here, I’ll give this to you! It’s a good luck charm! If you eat this, you’ll get a TOOOON of courage, and your love confession will go great!” Mai said this to her, and Lina replied “I’ll do my best.”, and then went home. Mai might be just as Seraph said she was. She has a lot of friends, after all. She often gave her friends homemade pancakes. She gave some to me too. That was the first thing she ever made. Come to think of it… The only thing she can properly make are pancakes. I wonder why. Phew… At any rate, you can’t win the Cooking Contest by making pancakes. I think for her to battle with cooking is a foolish idea in the first place.

It was 10 days after I began teaching Mai to cook, and a week before the Cooking Contest, my apprentice, Chihaya, seeing how we were doing, consulted us.

“I’ll teach her. No matter how much you twiddle your hands, it’s a waste of time, Ms. Yuba. I can teach even her to cook.”

Well, even I want my granddaughter to become a woman who can cook, too. But you know, there are things that people don’t have talent for. At that time, though, I might have been a bit tired. In the end, I left it up to Chihaya.

A few days after that, I was going to see how they were doing in the kitchen, when I heard Mai’s yelling.
“Even though I made it just how Chihaya said~~~ CHIHAYA YOU DUMMY!!!”

“I didn’t tell you to make it like this, you know?! In the first place, why did someone who has no talent in cooking want to enter the Contest?!”

“Waaaaaaaaah! If I won, the person I l… like will eat it! It’s a love confession!” Oh my… There was that big of a reason behind it. Chihaya shut up. His attitude is cold, but he had a troubled face.

“Hmph… Mai. Remember the time when you first made pancakes. As Mai cried, she perked her ears to listen to what Chihaya had to say.

“You said that the reason you made them was to cheer Ms. Yuba up when she was depressed, right Mai? Cooking with for someone else… Just think of that person and try cooking again.”

“Chihaya…”

“Don’t misunderstand me. I can’t make dishes while thinking of someone. But you can, OK? That’s your style.” My my. That’s not a line that fits Chihaya at all. Out-of-character, he blushed a bright red after he said this to her. I suppose elders should butt out at this point. It seems that somewhere along the way, my apprentice had become quite a promising young man.

The day of the Cooking Contest. Just as I had thought, the winner was not Mai, but Chihaya. I judged both Mai and Chihaya’s cooking, but the gap in skill was evident. But on Mai’s Omrice, there was a beautiful egg like the sun itself on top. There was a simple, warm flavor to it. I’m sure she made it while thinking of that special someone. Mai had no prizes for her special training, and her cooking is still rusty, but that might be OK. She learned something important this time around. No, I think Chihaya also truly noticed Mai as well. I’ve been blessed with a kind, cute granddaughter and a promising apprentice. What a wonderful feeling.

Let’s see… I suppose I’ll have another tea time with Seraph today.

Harvest Moon: Daughter & Son Sidestory – The Departure Day

The Departure Day

Big Sis, Little Bro

Seems going off on journeys runs in the family!

◇Clarinet District

It was in the darkness before the farm animals had been fed at sunrise. On the second floor nursery, the older sister and younger brother were always awake before they should have been. Maybe it was because they had already been awake, or they couldn’t sleep, but they talked in soft voices.

Little Bro: Big sis, I think I’ll go too after all.

Big Sis: So you mean you want to go with me… Is that what you’re trying to say?

Little Bro: Let’s go together, you and me, big sis.

Big Sis: If both of us leave the house, Dad and Mom will get lonely.

Little Bro: Well ’cause, I don’t want to not see you ever again, big sis! I’ll be lonely.

Big Sis: Won’t it be just as lonely not being able to see Mom and Dad again?

Little Bro: Uuu… *Sniff*… Nooo, I don’t want you to leave…

The big sister rubbed her crying little brother on the head, and took his hand and left the ranch. Dryly, a chilly morning wind blew, and the sister shivered for a single moment. The little brother squeezed onto his sister’s hand like he would never let go. Before they left, they decided to visit the henhouse. The ducks and chickens’ bodies looked like fluffy puffballs as they slept.

Big Sis: The birds are still sleeping. I guess they’ll come to collect the eggs later.

Little bro: Yeah.

From the henhouse, the two went to the fields and saw the pale-colored sprouts coming out of the ground as they walked, and the sister spoke.

Big Sis: Hey, did you hear the story of mom doing this all on her own?

Little Bro: No, Mom really did this all on her own? What about dad?

Big Sis: Dad started to help after he came, but in the beginning, mom did did it all on her own.

Little Bro: Mom’s amazing, huh!

Big Sis: Yeah, mom’s amazing. That’s why I want to be like Mom. Going to new lands, meeting new people… I want to do a lot of things.

Little Bro: …Even if the the Gods don’t ask you to?

Big Sis:Yup, that’s right.

Little Bro: *Sniff*

Big Sis: Hey, listen.

Little Bro: …*Sniff* …What?

Big Sis: I want you to help out mom with her work, and wake up dad when I’m gone.

Little Bro: I can do dat! I’ve watched you do it every day! Ah can do it real fast, all by mashelf!

The little brother spoke, his nose stuffy as he cried. The big sister looked like she was going to cry, but wore a stiff smile on her face, and the little brother smiled too.
◇Garmony Mine District

As they walked towards the Harvest Goddess Spring, the brother and sister had stopped crying.

Big Sis: Fin’s Rainbow is always open to ride, Mom said. That’s why if you want to, you can visit me anytime. I’ll come see you on your birthday, and mom’s birthday, and dad’s birthday, too. ♪”

Big Bro: Yeah. I’ll be waiting. I’ll go meet you later, riding the rainbow. I’ll bring a present too! Big sis, stay well!

The people around them smiled as they cheered the big sister on. Even the parents smiled as they watched their daughter. Everyone waved cheerful hands to the big sister as she left. And so the girl strongly walked ahead on the path she took. She walked across the rainbow in the sky, and the little brother waved his hand to his big sister until he couldn’t see the big sister anymore.

Until the end of time.
